The Seneca Falls Community Band is a not-for-profit corporation that supports and leads a volunteer musical ensemble that plays an active role in promoting musical performance, educating the public by providing all kinds of community band music, and performing free summer concerts. We perform concerts on Friday nights, late June through mid August, in Peoples Park, Seneca Falls NY, just south of the Gould Hotel and the Women’s Rights National Historic Park.
Seneca Falls Community Band is operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and is also registered with the NYS Office of Charitable Organizations.
The SFCB performs a wide variety of musical literature written for concert band, including marches, Broadway music, popular, jazz, patriotic standards, and commissioned pieces.
How are donations used?
The SFCB seeks private and public funding in order to support and expand the functions of SFCB and its objectives. Your donations are always greatly appreciated and go towards: our annual scholarships; music and equipment purchases; director’s fees; insurance; programs; and various other operating costs.

Who makes up the SFCB?
Our members are all amateur musicians from throughout the area, many with day jobs outside of music, who enjoy the camaraderie of playing with a summer ensemble. We support and encourage our fellow SFCB musicians in their participation throughout the year with many other ensembles as well. These ensembles include but are not limited to: Seneca Falls Brass Quintet, Bedford Falls Mediocre Marching Band, Hobart and William Smith Colleges Wind Ensemble, Auburn Chamber Orchestra, Finger Lakes Symphony Orchestra, Finger Lakes Concert Band, various school and community theater pit orchestras, and several local high school band programs.
